Junior School Musical Jamboree is a Triumph!

On International Day of Happiness, you could hear and see the joy in Junior School at our Pre-School – Year 2 Musical Jamboree! Lucky families were treated to poetry and music in this wonderful hour of talent, laughter and smiles.

Titled, ‘King & Queen Cole’s Party’, seniors Alexia and Emilia (Year 9) donned their crown and tiara to narrate the concert and read out a story about a princess.

Pre-schoolers charmed the room with a poem reciting ‘Little Miss Muffet’ and singing ‘Incy Wincy Spider’ and ‘Humpty Dumpty’.

Reception class entertained the room with ‘My Pony’ and ‘King Bidgood’s in the Bathtub,’ a lengthy poem delivered beautifully.

Then the soloists performed their amazing pieces:

On the piano, Eva played ‘Two Black Keys’, Arabella played ‘Promise to Behave’ before Edie played ‘Queen, Queen Caroline’ and Laurel played, ‘Ragtime Raggles.’

Edie sang ‘Lavender’s Blue’ before Aria in Year 1 sang ‘On Top of Spaghetti’ (a witty little piece about meatballs where she threw a knitted meatball into the crowd!)

The crowds then went wild for Anouk and Emily who rocked out on the drum kit and djembe, to ‘Three Little Birds.’

Aria then brought the house down with her mastery of an excerpt from Mozart’s ‘Sonata in C’, played from memory, on one of our fourteen Steinway pianos!

Huge thanks to Mr and Mrs Passmore for organising this happy recital where juniors’ talent shone.
