One of our Year 6 girls composed this lovely poem, Just Another Day.
Just another day
Another day of this daily drudge
Coronavirus I hold a grudge
My day will start with Joe Wicks
Enthusiastic with his karate kicks
Another day of home schooling
The process of which, is quite gruelling
It’s easy to get so distracted
This Maths online is so protracted
Then I get to my English work
The words start to jump and go bazzzzzurk
Crown court hearings and video link calls
Mum and Dad are climbing the walls
Zoom and TEAMS is all I hear
Another few months of this, is what I fear
I long to see my friends again, to learn, to play, be happy
I wish for my normality and fear for my sanity
I will never take anything for granted
My “other life” feels so enchanted
In some regards its nice being home
But sometimes I feel quite alone
I know everyone else is in the same position
Vaccine creators please make this your mission
This daily drudge goes on and on
Coronavirus please be gone!
