York School Athletics Finalists
Congratulations to seven Senior School pupils who have qualified for the finals of the York School Athletics.
This is the first-time girls from The Mount have progressed to the final, as it is usually held after the end of term. Girls represented The Mount in both track and field events including 200m, 1500m, shot put and long jump. Well done to Mireia, Miryam and Lucy (all Year 10) who all claimed first place in their semi-final events (below). The competition was held York University, with the final also taking place at the university later this week.
The following pupils qualified:
- Mireia (Year 10) for 200m and long jump (1st place)
- Molly (Year 10) 300m
- Amelia (Year 9) High Jump
- Miryam (Year 10) Shot put (1st place)
- Amelia (Year 8) High Jump
- Rosie (Year 9) 1500m
- Lucy (year 10) 1500m (1st place)
