This week the Senior Netball Team ended the season in style, achieving an impressive second place in the annual tournament at Silcoates School.
The team camaraderie shone throughout and the girls’ worked together tirelessly to secure valuable points and advantages. With such great sporting efforts on display, and admirable attitudes throughout – the team deserved a welcome treat at the end of the day. They made the most of the unexpected warmer weather and enjoyed an ice cream to celebrate before getting the coach back to school.
As the summer term approaches, and we see the hopeful return of more sunshine, the school’s sporting attention turns to Rounders, Athletics, Tennis and Cricket, with numerous fixtures already in the diary. Matches, both home and away benefit from the support of a crowd and we welcome parents and guardians to attend wherever they can. It would be fantastic to have parent supporters in attendance and encourage as many of you as possible to come along and cheer the students on.
Elsewhere in the School’s sporting endeavours, we are also pleased to announce the development of a Mount School parkrun Team. Participants will meet once a month to complete the York Knavesmire parkrun before returning to the school for coffee and cake.
