Congratulations to our Sixth Form College student, Amy Foster, who is representing the School, York and North Yorkshire in the national final of the Historical Association’s Great Debate this Saturday at the Houses of Parliament.
Amy’s theme is the significance of the 1918 enfranchisement.
We wish her the best of luck for what will no doubt be an unforgettable experience.
#DidYouKnow The Mount was the first school in the country to be awarded the Historical Association’s Gold Level Quality kitemark for excellence in History teaching?
Head of History, Helen Snelson, says “One thing about the History curriculum at The Mount is that the ink never dries.”
Having taken part in the Great Debate, Amy has been sharing her experience with fellow students and local media.
She spoke with That’s TV York
