At The Mount, we are committed to providing our Sixth Form girls with the best care and advice to help them follow their passions and succeed in life. Careers information, education and guidance is designed to provide all Mount girls with a planned course of activities to assist them in making confident choices about their future education, career plans and life as a member of adult society.
Guidance is tailored to each individual student to ensure they make the right decision for themselves.
All of our extensive support is designed to leave our pupils ready and excited for the next step ahead. We have an impressive track-record of helping girls to decide upon and reach their first-choice universities in the UK and around the globe.
Girls wishing to apply to Oxbridge or to study medicine, dentistry and veterinary science are offered specialist support. All girls take part in interview preparation for university and work placements. We appreciate not all girls may want to attend university and may take a different path, we are also highly experienced in helping girls with non-UCAS applications of all types, including for study overseas. In addition, we are able to offer girls ideas and contacts if they decide they wish to take a Gap Year before their next step in life.
In recent years girls have accepted places to study at: Cambridge (Languages), Oxford (Medicine, Classics), Bristol (Dentistry), Edinburgh (Geography) University College London (Applied Medical Sciences) MIT (Engineering), Leeds College of Art and Norland College. Pupils have also spent GAP years working in Ski Resorts or volunteering for charities overseas.
