The Mount School York celebrates A-Level result and University success in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) and Arts related subjects.
  • 37% of grades were A*-A
  • 75% of all grades were B and above
  • 91% of all grades were C and above

Principal, David Griffiths, comments,“I would like to congratulate College II on their exceptional performance in their A levels this year. We are incredibly proud of each and every pupil, the girls have shown such resilience and determination. They approached their studies and exams with a positive mindset and deserve this success.

We are very pleased that our pupils are not only progressing to top universities but entering the world of work through some great apprenticeship schemes. This demonstrates our commitment to not only academic excellence but our desire to provide a well-rounded education allowing pupils to pursue their life goals”

University Destinations

Students from The Mount Sixth Form regularly accept offers from their first-choice universities. Each year, our girls proceed to a broad range of university destinations, with most leavers accepting offers from Oxbridge, Russell Group and international universities.

Recent leavers’ university destinations include Durham, University College London, Manchester, London School of Economics, Edinburgh and York for a diverse range of courses including Veterinary Medicine, English Literature, Geography, Finance and Biochemistry.

Girls in The Mount Sixth Form are offered extensive UCAS support when considering their future choices and making their University applications. The freedom of an all-girls environment means there are no stereotypes to future destinations or careers.  Career aspirations are not limited and girls are encouraged to believe in themselves.  If girls want to study Engineering, Medicine, Fashion, Art, take a gap year or enter the world of work we help them achieve this.
