Empowering Confident Young Women
We are leaders in the education of girls and in understanding their needs. Girls in our Sixth Form are empowered to become confident young women ready for the next stage of their lives.
Lessons in The Mount Sixth Form are taught in small groups by inspiring specialist teachers. Small class sizes mean teaching staff get to know their pupils well and can provide them with tailored help and support, essential in the two short years of their A Level courses.
Outstanding Pastoral Care
Each member of The Mount Sixth Form has a carefully chosen personal tutor who has pastoral and academic responsibility for them; someone to turn to throughout their A Level years.
Girls learn to work effectively and independently, balancing academic and enrichment activities and being encouraged to foster a serious interest in subject matter. Girls learn how to develop analytical and research skills and how to take responsibility for their own learning.
Well rounded individuals
The Mount Sixth Form is about more than just results, we prepare our girls for life beyond school. Through bespoke UCAS and careers guidance, guest lectures, our unique Global Thinking curriculum and a programme of extra-curricular activities, girls enjoy a rounded education. Girls leave The Mount as self-aware individuals confident, compassionate, and prepared for life ahead.
Sixth Form Facilities
At The Mount Sixth Form we have invested in creating an environment in which our pupils can relax and have greater freedom but which also provides options for quiet study. In our purpose built Sixth Form Centre, there are shared study rooms for two or three students with lots of workspace. Our well-equipped Sixth Form Common Room with kitchen facilities also provides a space away from study at break times.
