Yesterday our GCSE Sciences pupils spent the day at GCSE Science Live! in Bradford for the chance to see and hear five of Britain’s top scientists, all working at the cutting edge of their specialisms.

“It was interesting to hear that time travel could be possible to go to the future and maybe the past.” – Abigail (Year 10)
“The trip is very good, that I learnt a lot about genetics and black holes. Also it is very helpful to learn more about about exam skills and the spirit of science.” – Vivian (Year 10)
“The aim of the day was to inspire the students with talks from scientists who are working on the cutting edge of science. We had talks on fusion, meta-materials, gene editing, time travel and more! They also picked up some important skills for their exams with advice from a chief examiner, reinforcing the good practise we always encourage in lessons,” said Mr Davies, Head of Physics and IT.
