Mathematical Christmas Décor!

Christmas is an exciting time of year in School.  Christmas concerts, Nativity plays, Festive food, all with the holidays in sight.  However, some might think it a challenge to inject some Seasonal fun into a Maths lesson, but not Miss Mumby!

Senior School Girls have been using maths lessons to explore the number of ways maths translates to decorating the Christmas tree. Working out the angles of a star.  Calculating the circumference of a bauble.  Using paper chains to complete equations. The girls have had great fun making their own mathematical Christmas decorations. All the completed decorations have left the Maths corridor suitably decked for the Festive Season!
