The Mount Welcomes Martyn Beer as He’s Appointed Head of Fellow Quaker School, Ackworth
The Mount School York Principal, David Griffiths, welcomes Martyn Beer who soon becomes the new Head of Ackworth School at the beginning of the Summer Term, after previously being Senior Deputy Head at Bootham School.
Fellow Quaker schools, The Mount has a close relationship with both Ackworth and Bootham schools.
Last Christmas, The Mount Charity Christmas Ball saw Ackworth, Queen Ethelburgas and Scarborough College dance the night away alongside Mount pupils to raise funds for important charities, Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association and York Against Cancer.
Principal of The Mount School, David Griffiths, said: “I heartily congratulate Martyn on his well-deserved appointment and look forward to continued close partnership working with Ackworth. It was great to welcome Martyn to The Mount recently.”
