In today’s Maths Challenge, Year 3 built a giant analogue clock, showing the minutes and using it to demonstrate various times of the day. The girls showed outstanding use of collaboration and problem-solving skills.
“We measured out the clock face and we placed cones at the 5-minute mark. Then we divided each of those spaces into four and marked out the minutes with small cubes. We were given a code for a particular time, and two people had to lay down to show that time. If you were the taller of the two, you were the minute hand and if you were the shorter person, you were the hour hand,” said Ida.
