Year 3 have been exploring Roald Dahl’s beloved tale, Fantastic Mr Fox in their English lessons.
They role played the characters of Mr and Mrs Fox having a conversation about a plan Mr Fox had devised to escape from the three nasty farmers, Boggis, Bunce and Bean.
The girls had to think about using expression in their voices and add in any actions. After the role play, they will write down their conversations, using the correct punctuation for direct speech, and using reporting clauses to depict the manner in which the character speaks.
