Celebrating Individual Achievements

Mount girls do get everywhere!

Over the summer break, some of our girls racked up formidable achievements that are worth highlighting.

We like to celebrate individual and team achievements of the girls, and if you have something we should highlight, please contact marketing@mountschoolyork.co.uk.

Lily in Hetty Feather

Lily (Y10) starred as Galinda (the Good Witch) in the Quirky Youth production of The Wizard Of Oz at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre at the end of June. During August, she then starred in two productions at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for Be Amazing Productions: Wuthering Heights and That’s How I See It, a thought-provoking collaborative devised piece exploring how young people feel about their future and decisions, taken by older generations, from which they are excluded.

Still in the Performing Arts, Ava (Y8), Scarlett (Y8) and Eleanor (Y7) will dance later this term with the English Youth Ballet’s production of Swan Lake.

Congratulations to Sophie, Charlotte and Sophie who each won their respective categories in the annual NYBEP #STEMeducation competition at Elvington in late June. Sophie won the Key Stage 5 Textiles category for her rocket teepee, Charlotte won the KS5 Resistant Materials category for her work table design, and Sophie won the Key Stage 4 Textiles category for her festival dress.
