The Mount Celebrates New & Existing Scholars

As school numbers continue to grow, we were so pleased to welcome this year’s new scholars to a celebratory afternoon tea with current scholars this week.

New scholars in areas including academics, music, performing arts and sport sat with existing scholars to hear all about the fun and opportunities this special honour creates.

Principal, Mr David Griffiths, presented certificates to the new scholars.

Invitees enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea with homemade creamy hot chocolate and lemonade alongside scones, cheese straws and flapjack.

In the week that celebrates both World Book Day and International Women’s Day, scholarly pupils enjoyed a fun quiz on these subjects before joining together for a large celebratory group photograph.

Principal, Mr David Griffiths, said,

“Congratulations for being selected as a Mount scholar in your chosen field. You will have developed a great network of support by the time you move on to the next part of your education.

Part of your current journey may be to fail at times but that is part of the learning process that all great scholars go through. Winning can be wonderful but if you lose – yet learn along the way – then that has equal value.

Enjoy this special time to focus on the things you love and move closer to your dreams of success.

We are so excited for all the learning and personal growth our scholars have ahead of them. A huge thank you to our current scholars for showing their new peers the ropes.”
